Working within the realms of both photorealism and surrealism, Francisco Sierra focuses, for his first solo exhibition in Denmark, on the transformative potential of painting. A Bird in a Studio is inspired by an actual happening in the Chilean-Swiss artist’s atelier and presents new paintings, including depictions of owls, a recurring subject in Sierra’s painterly practice. Sierra (*1977) lives and works in Cotterd, Switzerland.
