Primeros amaneceres en la tierra (Solentiname) | First Sunrises on Earth (Solentiname)

On Friday, 24th of March, from 5 – 8 pm we will host a book launch of Felipe Mujica’s most recent publication ¿En qué estabas pensando, en el pasado o en el futuro? in our Zurich office (top floor of Rämistrasse 30), with photographs and curtains from the Solentiname series by the Chilean artist. Next to the presentation, there will also be a conversation between Felipe Mujica and artist & curator Esther Eppstein around 6 pm!

“I met Esther Eppstein in 1998, in a group show about artists-run spaces at the Swiss Institute in NYC. There was an almost instant connection and comradery thanks to our shared history of producing exhibitions and collaboration as a tool to create your own scene. Later we met again (2004 or 2005) in Chile where she was invited to another exhibition about artist-run spaces. There she proposed to me and my two close colleagues of that time, to travel to Zürich and do a show at Message Salon. Basically, Esther was my introduction to Zürich, to its art circuit, and to its people.”
