Art Genève, Salon d’Art 2025

Palexpo, Geneva
For Art Genève, von Bartha explores the relationships of postmodern art movements that have shaped the early gallery program with outstanding works by its contemporary roster of artists. This curated booth highlights historical references in an atypical manner, making unforeseen assertions and visual connections, including works by artists from different generations, continents, and backgrounds: The legacy of artists such as Camille Graeser and Barry Flanagan meets the latest works by Swiss and international artists such as Marina Adams, Claudia Wieser, Mike Meiré, Francisco Sierra or Boris Rebetez, to name a few.
In a solo presentation, Lausanne-based artist Karim Noureldin brings together all of his favorite media, which he has lately been working with, including his primary practice of works on paper. This immersive booth with colored walls includes drawings, textiles, and even furniture. Dominating the space will be a large-scale, framed drawing from the new series Brea. In his career, Noureldin has been producing several site-specific works in the Geneva region, and so this colorful presentation will work as a kind of cabinet to discover the many talents the artist has.
